About

A winner of numerous awards, blues-rock artist Laurence Jones is performing at ‘…’ as part of his first solo acoustic tour , “On My Own”—a return to his roots: pure blues!

Hailing from Liverpool, this award-winning and critically acclaimed blues artist has opened for legends such as Ringo Starr, Sir Van Morrison, Jeff Beck, Johnny Winter, Walter Trout, and, most recently, Status Quo. After joining Buddy Guy on stage for a jam session and experiencing the blues firsthand, Guy remarked, “He’s like a young Eric Clapton” —and that says it all.

Trained in classical guitar and having earned a "Very Good" grade on his Grade 8 exam at just 18 years old, he now blends his musical heritage with the energy of the blues-rock that made him famous. Laurence Jones has built a loyal fan base across the UK and Europe, signing his first record deal at age 17. His critically acclaimed blues album ‘Thunder In The Sky’ (2012) earned him numerous awards and accolades. After more than a decade on the road and 1,200 concerts under his belt, his first solo album ‘On My Own’ is both intimate and personal, while bursting with the power and tradition of the blues. Laurence Jones proves once again why he is considered one of the best artists in the genre.

Despite the health challenges he has faced, Jones continues a career already marked by several British Blues Awards, over 50,000 albums sold worldwide, and a number-one spot on the official UK Jazz & Blues album chart. This time, the focus is less on charts and awards, and more on telling his story through stripped-down, heartfelt blues.

“The British blues-rock guitarist skillfully blends energy and emotion.”Rolling Stone Magazine Music Radar has ranked him among the top 10 blues-rock guitarists in the world. “Electrifying, bursting with energy—a show not to be missed.”BBC Radio 2
